The deadline to apply for the first Health Care Administration, Leadership, and Management (HALM) has been extended to September 30, 2024. HALM is a new subspecialty certification opportunity that will provide physicians the opportunity to enhance their practice and set standards in physician leadership. HALM is geared toward institutional leaders, including community hospital physicians and academic department chairs with related experience. The HALM Certification Examination is offered every other year in even-numbered years. The first exam will be administered in late 2024. The exam will not be offered again until fall 2026 as there isn’t an exam in 2025. It is administered through Pearson Vue’s online, remote proctored system.
